軍服務中の飲酒運転「BTS」SUGA、「被害はなかった」という謝罪文に冷やかな反応
BTS' SUGA, who is serving in the military while drunk driving, has a cold response to his apology saying ”there was no damage”
Global group "BTS" SUGA caused a drunk driving problem while serving public service. He even wrote an apology, but the response was just cold.
According to the Seoul Yongsan Police Station on the 7th, SUGA was found drunk on the night of the 6th while riding an electric scooter on Hannam-dong Street in Yongsan-gu.
He fell down and was discovered by a nearby police officer. During this process, the police officer took SUGA, who smelled of alcohol, to a nearby police station, where a breathalyzer test revealed that his blood alcohol level was over 0.
In response, BTS's management office Big Hit Entertainment said,
Music said, "SUGA was driving home drunk on the 6th while wearing a helmet.
He was fined and his license was revoked, and the accident occurred while he was parking after traveling 500 meters on an electric scooter.
"I plan to receive appropriate disciplinary action from my workplace." Suga also posted an apology. After enlisting in the military, Suga, who had not had any special communication with him, said, "I regret visiting him for something bad."
"I am deeply sorry and distressed that this happened," he said, explaining the circumstances of the accident, "I was careless about the distance and did not realize that electric scooters cannot be used while drunk, so I violated the road traffic laws."
He also stated, "No one was harmed or facilities damaged in this process, but this is my responsibility and there is no room for excuses, so I bow my head and offer my apologies to everyone."
The apology was issued immediately after the drunk driving incident was made public, but the contents of the apology made fans and netizens even more cold towards the incident. Drunk driving cannot be tolerated for any reason.
However, SUGA's additional words, "I thought it was a simple matter of being close by," and "I didn't realize that it was impossible to use an electric scooter while drunk" are excuses.
In addition, Suga's apology, which emphasized that no damage had been done, was met with comments from netizens such as, "There were too many unnecessary words," and "It was just fortunate that no accidents occurred, and it was a big mistake,"
"It's not that he couldn't do it, he just needed to apologize," he said. Meanwhile, Suga enlisted in the military last September and is currently serving as a social service worker. His scheduled release date is 2025.
It's June 21st.
