China CPI up 0.5% in July from same month last year - Chinese report
On the 9th, the National Bureau of Statistics of China announced the July Consumer Price Index (CPI). According to the announcement, the national CPI rose 0.5% year-on-year in July. Of this, the CPI in urban areas rose 0.
Prices in the Philippines rose 0.5% in the Philippines and 0.7% in rural areas. Food prices were stable, non-food prices increased 0.7%, consumer goods prices increased 0.5%, and services prices increased 0.6%.
Looking at the average for January to July, the national CPI rose 0.2% year-on-year. Among food prices, pork prices increased 20.4% year-on-year, fresh vegetable prices increased 3.3%, and full-bodied foods increased 1.2% year-on-year.
The price of food and non-food items fell by 4.2%. Meanwhile, the national CPI for July increased by 0.5% compared to June. Of these, the increase was 0.6% in urban areas and 0.4% in rural areas.
Prices of both consumer goods and services increased, rising by 1.2%, 0.4%, 0.4% and 0.6%, respectively.
