”The driver was an acquaintance” - High school student involved in rental car rollover accident - South Korea

A teenager was arrested by the police after he tried to change the driver after causing an accident in a rental car he rented under the name of an acquaintance.
A vehicle overturned on a road in Jeonju City. Police officers were called to the scene via the in-car automatic reporting system and found four high school students at the accident scene.
When the police, who were investigating the circumstances of the accident, asked about the driver, they said, "(The driver) is an older man whose name we only know. He had gone to the toilet because he had a stomach ache.
The police were suspicious of the driver who caused the traffic accident leaving the scene to go to the toilet, so they questioned Mr. B when he arrived 20 minutes later.
When the police said, "If you lie, you will be punished for evading a criminal," Mr. B revealed that he was not the driver.
Afterwards, Mr. A confessed that he had been driving, and it was revealed that Mr. B was an acquaintance who had lent them a rental car.
The police have charged Mr. A with violating the Road Traffic Act (driving without a license) and are currently investigating the matter.
A police source said, "It was confirmed that B was contacted by A's group and rushed to the scene.
We plan to check the rack box and other items and then decide whether to indict Mr. B."
