”Drunk Driving” SUGA (BTS) indicted without trial... fine amount not disclosed

BTS member SUGA, who is suspected of drunk driving, has been summarily indicted. On the 10th, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office announced that SUGA was indicted on suspicion of drunk driving under the Road Traffic Act.
Summary indictment is when the prosecution determines that the charges are relatively light and instead of a formal trial, they impose fines, penalties, and confiscations through a written hearing.
If the parties or the court do not express their intention to send the case to a formal trial, the sentence will be finalized.
On that day, the prosecution stated that it had "filed a summary indictment based on the criteria for handling the case," and did not specify the amount of the fine.
On the 6th of last month, Suga was arrested by police while riding an electric scooter home after drinking alcohol in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
His blood alcohol level was found to be 0.227%, far above the license revocation standard (0.08%). The electric scooter that Suga was driving is not considered a personal vehicle under the Road Traffic Act, but a motor vehicle.
The bike is classified as a motorized bicycle and will be punished under the same drunk driving laws as a car. Meanwhile, Suga, who was first investigated by police on the 23rd of last month, admitted to drunk driving and later wrote to his fans, "I was careless.
"I have caused pain to all those who care about me. I will try hard to never do the same thing again and live my life with reflection," she wrote in her apology.
