A man in his 20s who inhaled a lot of smoke during a fire was transported to a hospital in Seoul after three hours of searching for a hospital that could treat him (Dongducheon, South Korea)

A man in his 20s who inhaled a lot of smoke during a fire at an apartment building in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, was unable to find a hospital that could treat him and was taken to HANI Hospital in Seoul three hours later.
According to fire officials on the 28th, a fire broke out on the seventh floor of an apartment building in Songnae-dong, Dongducheon, at around 1:30 pm on the same day.

More than 10 hospitals in Gangbuk-gu, Dongdaemun-gu, and Songpa-gu refused to even transport the patients, citing reasons that they were unable to treat them.
At around 2:37 p.m., an hour after the fire broke out, ambulance crews were contacted by a hospital saying they could treat the patient, and immediately moved to the hospital.
After five minutes, he was told that he could not be treated. He continued to search for an emergency room, and after 4 p.m., Mr. A was taken to Hanyang University Hospital in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, where he was treated.
A fire official said, "The patient was not just suffering from smoke inhalation, but from a large amount of smoke inhaled, and although his condition was serious, there was no hospital to take him to, so he lay down at the scene for a while."
Meanwhile, fire authorities extinguished the fire at around 1:52 pm, 20 minutes after it started. Mr. A inhaled a large amount of smoke, and 15 residents of the apartment were evacuated.
Fire authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
