「ハルビン」ヒョンビン、リリー・フランキーの決定に感謝…「日本公開が可能なら舞台あいさつを一緒に」
”Haeolbin” Hyun Bin thanks Lily Franky for his decision... ”If it's possible to release it in Japan, let's do a stage greeting together”
Actor Hyun Bin expressed his gratitude to Lily Franky.

Japanese actor Lily Franky once attracted a lot of attention when he played the role of Hirobumi Ito in the film ‘Haeolbin’.

Lily Franky is a bestselling author and columnist, picture book author, illustrator, art director, designer, lyricist, composer and even photographer, who is active not only as an actor but also in diverse areas of culture in general. In particular, he was loved by audiences in Japan for his role as the unique patriarch in Hirokazu Kore-eda's Cannes Palme d'Or-winning film Shoplifters.

In a recent interview with Herald POP at a café in Seoul's Jongno district, Hyun Bin revealed a conversation he had with Lily Franky.

On that day, Hyun Bin said, "I met him for the first time and said, 'I'm grateful’ and that ‘it must not have been an easy decision,' but I just thanked him."

He continued, "Even after filming was over, I was grateful to see him act, and I got to know once more that he is an amazing actor. He seems to have a great aura."

Hyun Bin also confided, "We did a stage greeting together in Korea this time, and I told him that if the film can be released in Japan, I would like to go to Japan and do a stage greeting with him."

Meanwhile, ‘Haeolbin’, in which Hyun Bin and Lily Franky give passionate performances, depicts the stifling chase and suspicion between those who go to Harbin for a single purpose and those who follow them in 1909, and is currently being screened to rave reviews in theatre towns across Korea.
