Actor Choi Woo-shik, who appeared in the Netflix series "Love Movie," showed off his romance for the first time in a while during an interview at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the 17th.
Choi Woo-shik, who received rave reviews for his portrayal of real-life romance through the TV series "That Year, We Met," which ended its run in 2022, has reunited with writer Lee Naeun.
Returning to the romance genre for the first time in three years, he explained the reason he took on the role, saying, "I wanted to explore and show a different side of the character."
"Love Movie" depicts two young people who want to fall in love and achieve their dreams, inspiring each other and overcoming their own traumas.
In the drama, Choi Woo-shik plays the role of Go Gyeom, a movie buff who loves movies so much that he becomes a critic, and works closely with Park Bo Young, who plays Kim Moo-bi.
Regarding Park Bo Young, he said, "It was my first time acting with someone my age, so it was fun and easy," and "I now understand why people like Park Bo Young."
"Since the beginning, Go Gyeom is completely focused on Kim Moo-bi, so I was excited from the very start when filming," he said with a laugh.
Choi Woo-shik, who debuted in the 2011 MBC TV series "Chak Bae (Partner)," has appeared in films such as "Giant" and "Train to Busan."
"The Final Express," "Okja," "The Witch," "Parasite: The Semi-Underground Family," and the TV Series "Hogwarts."
Choi Woo-shik said, "'Love Movies' are the kind of movies that are popular these days, where it's flashy and full of firecrackers.
