China Eastern Airlines releases January passenger traffic figures... up 11.89% year-on-year - Chinese media

According to statistics recently released by China Eastern Airlines, passenger traffic in January increased by 11.89% compared to the same period last year, and passenger-kilometers increased by 19.71%. The seat load factor increased by 5.42 points.
The number of passengers travelling by cargo ton-kilometers rose 82.85%, up 4.42% year-on-year. For domestic routes, China Eastern Airlines operated Shanghai Hongqiao-Altay area, Guangzhou-Harbin, and Qingdao-Fuzhou routes in January.
New international routes include Beijing Daxing-Phu Quoc Island, Hangzhou-Hanoi, and Nanjing-Ho Chi Minh City.
Starting from January 1st of this year, the domestically produced large passenger aircraft "C919" was used to operate round-trip flights between Shanghai/Hongqiao and Hong Kong.
China Eastern Airlines is the first large passenger aircraft to operate regular round-trip flights outside mainland China. As of the end of January, the number of aircraft owned by China Eastern Airlines reached 822. Of the 808 passenger aircraft,
36 of the units are domestically produced.
