”President Yoon spoke of martial law as if he was venting his frustration at a drinking party” - Han Dong-hoon's book - Korean media

The book by former People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon, released on the 26th, includes a passage that President Yoon Seok-yeol repeatedly discussed emergency martial law when drinking with lawmakers.
In his book "The People Come First - Han Dong-hoon's Choice," Han wrote, "When the emergency martial law was declared, I was trying to settle the situation and I was involved in the emergency martial law with the People Power lawmakers.
"Many of the lawmakers who shared drinks with President Yoon said that the president used to vent his frustrations about martial law in private," he wrote.
Han said, "However, since it wasn't a specific story, I heard everyone think, 'Maybe he's just angry,'" and "I never thought he was serious about it."
Han also mentioned the words he exchanged with President Yoon during a meeting immediately after the emergency martial law was declared. President Yoon had expressed his reasons for declaring emergency martial law as follows:
Regarding the reason, he said, "We have judged the entire situation, in which the Democratic Party of Korea has continued to carry out outrageous acts, including the indiscriminate use of impeachment bills, for the past two and a half years, to be a 'wartime or emergency-like situation' that warrants the imposition of martial law, and have therefore proclaimed emergency martial law."
When Han asked, "When and with whom did you prepare to declare martial law?" President Yoon did not respond.

President Yoon reportedly responded, "You can't hold someone responsible by dismissing them." Han also said, "What wrong did the people who followed President Yoon's instructions do to deserve dismissal?"
"President Yoon's side seemed to be trying to dismiss the incident on December 3 as merely an 'unexpected incident.' However, he said that the government should not mobilize the military under any circumstances.
"The declaration of emergency martial law cannot be considered a coincidence," he said. The book by Han was revealed to be No. 1 on the weekly bestseller list. Pre-orders began on the 19th.
It has been the No. 1 book in its first week since its release. Also, on that day, in front of the main Kyobo bookstore in Jongno-gu, Seoul, citizens lined up from early in the morning to buy Han's book.
