Rep. Ahn Cheol-soo: ”We must prevent the 'Lee Jae-myung era'”... ”Prime Minister Han Deok-soo should give up running for office” = South Korea

Ahn Cheol-soo, a lawmaker from the ruling People Power Party who has announced his candidacy for the next South Korean presidential election, said on the 26th, "Please, in order to prevent the 'Lee Jae-myung era',
"We ask that Prime Minister Han Deok-soo (acting president) not run, and that former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim Moon-soo and former ruling party leader Han Dong-hoon make a decision."
On the same day, Rep. Ahn wrote on Facebook, "Prime Minister Han, former Minister of Employment and Labor Kim, and former Representative Han are running for the presidency in a presidential election that is structured as 'Lee Jae-myung versus Yoon Seok-yeol.'"
This is in response to the strategy of Lee Jae-myung, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who is trying to challenge the Democratic Party of Japan," he wrote.
He continued, "Prime Minister Han should not run. The Democratic Party's Lee
"Prime Minister Han is the closest aide to former President Yoon and the main driver of the (last) general election's crushing defeat," he said.
Ahn also emphasized, "I made the decision to unify the party in order to thwart the Lee Jae Myung administration. I am the only one who can take on Lee Jae Myung."
