South Korea's Sokcho City ”dispatches staff” to ”sister city” Yonago City

The city of Sokcho in South Korea will dispatch one staff member to Yonago, its sister city, from May 9 to June 6 to benchmark the city's excellent policies and improve its global mindset.
The staff member dispatched this time is Kim YOUNG JI Ng, Chief of the Child Protection Team of the Education and Family Support Division. Chief Kim will be providing information on Japan's support policies for children under protection and children on basic livelihood support,
The program will involve benchmarking Yonago City's specialized child welfare policies and carrying out administrative exchange work related to child welfare, including visiting local child welfare facilities.
In particular, 2025 is a significant year as it marks the 30th anniversary of the sister city relationship between Sokcho and Yonago.
The city of Yonago is also planning to send one of its staff members to Sokcho for about a month next month.
