※This article contains spoilers. In ep6 of the tvNTV series "Please Don't Drink" (viewership rating: 2.8%), Geum-ju (Choi Suyeong) is married to Eui-jun (Kong Myung).
After hearing Euijun's confession of his unrequited love from the past, a slight fluttering mood formed between the two. As a reward for succeeding in the seven-day sobriety challenge, Geumju tells Euijun why he had drifted away from him in the past.
He asked her honestly why she ran away. Eui-jun answered, "I did it because I love you," and Geum-ju confessed that she ran away because she only thought of her as a friend. He then said, "Now it's all over.
"I can say that it's an emotion I felt," he said, drawing a line so as not to burden Geum-ju. However, behind that confession was the real reason he couldn't tell her.
The father who had left her reappeared, mentioned Geum-ju's name, and threatened her, saying, "If you don't give me money, I'll come to see you." In the end, Eui-jun deliberately left hurtful words to protect Geum-ju.
Geum-ju was confused as Ui-jun's confession kept running through her mind. She remembered that she had liked him back then, and the feelings she had forgotten flooded her again.
She even had a dream where she was drunk and said, "I liked you back then, too." In a daze, she visited Euijun and was told that she could experience hallucinations and hearing sounds due to withdrawal symptoms.
From then on, Geum-ju was tormented by auditory hallucinations of Eui-jung's voice saying "I love you" in various places throughout her daily life, and she fell deeper and deeper into a whirlpool of emotions.
In this situation, the true feelings of Wijun, who has been secretly concerned about her, are revealed, and Geumju's heart grows even stronger.
He was pushed into a crisis due to an issue with his boss, Soo Seok, but was able to escape the situation thanks to the dashcam in Eui Joon's car. He was shocked to learn that Eui Joon had been waiting for him for two hours before the dinner.
The woman's heart was shaken even more. The sight of Wijung taking care of Geumju's family made the ripples of her emotions even bigger. Suddenly, her mother Gwangok (Kim SungRyoung) announced that she was taking a vacation, and she started to have withdrawal symptoms.
When Geum-ju confessed the reality of having to work at the pension among other things, Eui-jun revealed that he had encouraged Gwang-ok to take time off, saying, "It must be hard for the people who take care of her."
His consideration reminded Geum-ju of her guilt towards her mother, and the relationship between mother and daughter, which had become strained amid their battle with alcohol, gradually regained warmth.
