BTS' JIMIN, rising again on the Billboard charts ahead of Discharge

JIMIN (BTS) is showing an upward trend ahead of his discharge from the military, recording a reverse run on the U.S. Billboard and then re-ranking on the Billboard Japan chart.

　According to U.S. music media outlet Billboard, JIMIN's 'Who' ranked No.84 on the June 7th Billboard Global 200 chart, up 19 places from last week, and No.49 on the Global (excluding U.S.) chart, up 9 places.

　JIMIN's 'Who', which has twice reached No.1 on both the Billboard Global 200 and Global (excluding the U.S.) charts, has charted in the Top 100 on these charts for 45 consecutive weeks and continues to be a long-running hit 11 months after its release on July 19th, 2023. 　His second album 'MUSE', the first and only K-pop solo album to reach No.1 on the Billboard World Albums chart eight times, reached No.8 this week, charting for 45 consecutive weeks. It is the first and only K-pop solo album to chart in the Top 10 for 45 weeks. 'MUSE' has broken the record for the second longest charting K-pop solo album with 63 weeks, following the record set by first album 'FACE' with 63 weeks.

　It also re-entered the Billboard 'Japan Hot 100' chart at No.97 on June 4th, successfully charting for a total of 33 weeks, making ‘Who’ the first and only K-pop solo song to stay on the chart for 33 weeks since BoA's 'Merry Chri' in 2010. It stayed on the Billboard 'Japan Streaming Songs' chart for 45 weeks at #80.

　JIMIN, the first foreign singer to reach No.1 on the Billboard Japan Artist 100 chart, has been on the chart for a total of 57 weeks to date, shining with his popularity in Japan.
