「現実にはイ・ジョンソクやムン・ガヨンのようなビジュアルの弁護士はいない。リアリティにフォーカス」…ドラマ「瑞草洞」制作陣が語る
”In real life, there are no lawyers with looks like Lee Jung-suk or Mun Ka-young. We focus on reality” - TV series ”Seocho-dong” production team says
Writer Lee Seung-Hyo and director Park Seung-Woo portray the daily lives of associate lawyers (attorneys employed at law firms) in the legal town of Seocho-dong.
tvN's new weekend TV series "Seocho-dong," which will begin airing on July 5th, depicts the joys and sorrows of a group of five associate lawyers who arrive to work at the legal affairs town of Seocho-dong every day.
The script, based on the experiences of lawyer Lee Seung-Hyo, and director Park Seung-Woo's intuitive direction are expected to create a synergistic effect.
Writer Lee Seung Hyo, who has been interested in writing screenplays since college, said, “I saw, heard, and
The experiences, emotions, and thoughts I had accumulated without me even realizing it. I wanted to capture the somewhat unique world of lawyers' lives and to include emotions and stories that anyone could relate to.
I thought this story would be better told as a TV series rather than a movie, and that's how I started writing the first line of "Seocho-dong," he said, looking back on when he first decided to write "Seocho-dong."
Director Park Seung-woo continued, "The two previous works I directed dealt deeply with a particular genre, so I wanted to try to tell a story about the people around me. That's when I came across 'Seocho-dong.'
"I was attracted to the fact that the author, who is a practicing lawyer, wanted to portray a realistic story about lawyers," he said, revealing what prompted him to choose the work.
I knew it when I saw the writer in a suit and his stiff expression after just finishing work," he said, revealing the behind-the-scenes story.
Introduced "Seocho-dong" as "a TV series about life and living"
Director Park Seung-woo said, "Instead of depicting the sense of duty of legal professionals and their struggle to defeat evil, the film focuses on the realistic conflicts and everyday worries that they face every day as company employees.
"We all worked hard together to make the associate lawyers look like the people around me," he explained, "and focused on realism in the production."
Writer Lee Seung Hyo also said, "I wanted the protagonists to not be involved in the case, but rather have the lawsuit enter their lives.
"I think the biggest difference is that they are ordinary people who you can look at casually," he added. "But in the real world, it's impossible to find lawyers who are good-looking and pretty like actors.
Every time a new teaser was released, my colleagues would ask me where all those cool lawyers are in Seocho-dong," he said, sharing a funny anecdote that got everyone laughing.
Finally, writer Lee Seung-Hyo and director Park Seung-Woo said, "We hope that viewers will be able to enjoy the realistic work life of associate lawyers even more."
Writer Lee Seung-Hyo said, "We have so many great actors participating in our work. I think it will be fun to see the characters they portray.
" Meanwhile, tvN's new Saturday and Sunday TV series "Seocho-dong" will begin airing in Korea on July 5 at 9:20 pm.
