According to MBN on the 4th (today), Song Young-gyu was found dead at around 8 a.m. on the same day at Choin (Prefecture), Yongin City, Gyeonggi Province.
In response to this, the late Song Young-gyu's closest aide said in an interview with a Korean media outlet, "In addition to this (drunk driving) incident, he had been under a lot of stress for a long time.
"Due to personal reasons, the number of works he produced also decreased, and it seems he was in a vicious cycle," he said. The deceased's wife ran a cafe, but the economy worsened and the business suffered losses.
It was revealed that Song Young-gyu had been living separately from his family. Previously, the Yongin Dongbu Police Station in Gyeonggi Province arrested the deceased on suspicion of drunk driving in late June this year.
The case was sent to the Suwon District Prosecutors' Office. The deceased is suspected of driving while heavily intoxicated for about 5km from Giheung-gu to Cheoin-gu in Yongin City around 11:00 pm on June 19th.
