"The Face," which he began planning immediately after working on the screenplay for his upcoming animated film "Fei-I Am God," was made possible through the participation of these friends and comrades.
Director Yeon Sang Ho, who had been anxious about making a film in an environment outside the bounds of conventional filmmaking methods, worked with about 20 of his close friends to complete the pre-production in just two weeks.
The film's "face" was completed with just the first and 13th shots. Despite being made up of a small, elite crew and with a shooting period that was only a quarter of the time of previous feature-length films, the production was astonishing.
The film, which has been completed, is raising expectations as a work that displays the amazing mobility of veterans. Director Yeon Sang Ho said, "It's been a while since we've had such top-class people in the Korean film industry as directors.
Even though they were newbies and experienced in the industry, they worked hard to create a film of the same quality as existing films.
"The film 'Face' will be released in cinemas in Korea on September 11th.
