The film "Face" is about a blind man, Im Yong-gyu, who is reborn as a seal carving craftsman, and his son, Im Dong-hwan (played by Park Jung Min).
The story delves into the mystery surrounding the death of his wife and mother, who disappeared 20 years ago. Park Jung Min plays the young Lim Yong-gyu, a blind seal engraver, and his son Lim Dong-hwan.
Among the stills released are the young Lim Yong-gyu, who lives honestly while carving seals despite the limitations of his visual impairment, and the skeleton of a man who has been killed for the first time in 40 years.
The film perfectly captures the various moments of the two different people, including Lim Dong-hwan, the son who searches for the truth about his mother who has returned from the dead.
Park Jung Min will portray the unmarried husband Yeong-gyu and his son Dong-hwan, who has never seen his mother since he was born, in a more TV Series-like manner through his delicate acting.
In particular, Park Jung Min's challenge to play two roles was something he personally suggested to director Yeon Sang Ho.
Park Jung Min said, "If it's a film made with good intentions and meanings, I'll
I wanted to add some energy to the set in my own way. When I asked the director who would play the young Lim Young-gyu, he said that it hadn't been decided yet, so I told him I wanted to give it a try."
Director Yeon Sang Ho, who will be working with Park Jung Min for the third time after the film "Psychokinesis" and the series "Hell is Calling," said, "Park Jung Min helped me with script research and the design of the seals.
He showed his passion for his role by learning the techniques himself. In particular, Lim Dong-hwan's reactions during the five interviews are very important, but he used an unconventional method.
"I was able to express it in a way that makes the movie even more immersive," he said with satisfaction. The film "Face" will be released in theaters in Korea in September.
