”I believe in you no matter what”... The late Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE) - Director and cast of ”My Mister” pay tribute in tears
The team of the TV series "My Mister" (hereinafter "My Mister") paid tribute to the late actor Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE) with great emotion.
The 29th Busan International Film Festival "Special Talk: Remembering Seong Kyu (INFINITE)" will be held on the 4th (today) in the afternoon at Lotte Cinema Center in Haeundae, Busan.
The event was held at Tam City and was attended by director Kim Won-seok, who directed the tvNTV series "My Mister," as well as actors Park Ho-san and Song Sae-Byeok.
On that day, director Kim Won-seok said, "I was unable to attend Lee Seong Kyu's (INFINITE) funeral due to filming a TV series."
"I think this event is just the beginning. This event to remember why Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE) died and what kind of person he was is the first of its kind," he said.
"I think it can be realized in many different ways," he said, explaining the meaning of the event. In particular, the director said, "I'm glad to hear about the series of events that occurred around Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE) before he passed away.
The director drew attention by expressing his personal regret over the way the incident was handled after it occurred.
When asked, "Are you trying to cut them off in that order?" Park Dong Hoon (played by Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE)) replied, "That's how a company is. Do you think they cut people off in the order in which they can't do their jobs?"
"No, they cut me in the order they like me." For actors and directors like me, the "company" is our "ally." The people who cut us off are "people who are not good at what they do."
"The media, police, and prosecutors who published articles that were personally impossible were tolerated by the public. They published articles, and when they were criticized, they published them.
He added, "I don't think he would have done that," and added, "The public is well aware that it is the absolute powerhouse in the media age."
He continued, "What I want to say is, I wish you'd give me a few more chances before you cut me off.
"I think that even if someone commits a crime, they can be given a chance. But this was a situation where there was no crime and there was no evidence of a crime. It was a situation that the public did not like.
She added, "I think that the role of 'My Uncle' that I offered to Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE) was a mental burden and it pains me."
Park Ho San said, "I think the character in the TV series is Seong Kyu (INFINITE). I miss him," while Song Sae Byeok said, "It still doesn't feel real. Even though a year has passed, I still have nightmares."
"I feel like I'm resting in peace," he said, expressing his longing for the late Lee Seong Kyu (INFINITE). Finally, Park Ho San said, "May you rest in peace? We believe in you. There's nothing to be ashamed of, everything will be okay."
Song Sae Byeok shed tears and said, "I said my goodbyes, but I believe that I am resting in peace and I think that they are watching over me."
In particular, director Kim Won-seok said, "Seong Kyu (INFINITE), I know you. I know what you've done.
But I believe in you," she said, drawing attention with her special feelings.
