Director Hyun Hyeri, Ahn Woo-yong, Min Seong-wook, Seo Hee-jung, and Cha Jeong-won, who worked with Song Jae Lim on his final work, express their heartfelt condolences to him.
The press preview of the movie "Crash: A Man Who Failed in Business" (director: Hyeon Hyeri, producer: Muam, hereafter "Crash") was held on the afternoon of the 6th at C, Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The event was held at GV Yeongsan I'Park Mall and was attended by director Hyun Hyeri and actors Ahn Woo-yong, Min Sung-wook, Seo Hee-jung, and Cha Jeong-won.
"Crash" is a crime TV series based on the true story of the cryptocurrency crash that shook the world with the disappearance of 50 trillion won (about 5 trillion yen).
In response to this, Director Hyun Hyeri said, "At first, people misunderstood Song Jae Lim because of the way he was acting, but he was very warm and had the strongest character.
"I miss him and it's a pity. I wish we were together now," he said, shedding tears.
Ahn Woo-yong said, "I met Jae-rim hyung five years ago on 'Radio Star.' We use our own waiting rooms for variety shows.
"I didn't really know his personality well until I saw him," he said, but added, "While working on this movie together, we became like brothers. He was really nice to me. He was very considerate and had a playful personality.
He seems to have been a very kind and innocent person. When we were filming, I always thought that I would just hang out with him." He continued, "It's hard to become close to someone just because we're filming.
But I became quite close with my brother. We worked together on many roles, and we had a lot in common as people, so I often went to his house to hang out."
"I want to promote 'Crash' to the best of my ability for my brother. I'm going into it with the intention that my brother will be with me. I want to tell him to watch over me until the end," he said enthusiastically.
Min Sung-wook said, "I met him briefly on the TV series, and now we've had a chance to meet in depth. He may look cold, but he's a friend who worries deeply about his acting.
I even changed the lines for the scenes we shot in the movie. I thought he was an actor who could express himself to such an extent, but I felt that he may have been underestimated.
"It seems like the best work I've ever done. I remember being in awe of it. I really want to meet him," Seo Hee-jung said. "We talked a lot about acting," she said. "Just like Min Sung-wook said,
I started watching it again, wondering if I was also such a good actor. I was surprised. I learned a lot," he recalled.
Cha Jung-won said, "We're from the same family, so we got to know each other before filming.
He may look cold, but he was funny and we often messed around. He was a very knowledgeable man, so he was always funny. We talked a lot," she said, sharing her memories. "I watched this movie with my brother.
I thought that my brother would have been really happy if we watched it together. I watched the movie with the thought that my brother would have been really happy if he watched it together. I want to say that I miss you so much."
The film "Crash" is directed by Hyeon Hyeri, a current affairs producer and former member of the TV series "The Woman Who Only Had Contract Jobs Nine Times," which was well received at the Cannes TV Series Festival.
It will be released in Korea on the 15th.
