Seven years have passed since the late actor Cho Min Ki left this world.

Today (9th March) marks the seventh anniversary of Cho Min Ki's death. The deceased was found dead on the 9th March 2018 in a warehouse next to the underground parking lot of the Officestel in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. He was 53 years old.

Cho Min-ki made his debut in 1993 as an MBC 22nd open recruitment talent, and appeared in dramas such as Ambition, General Hospital, Immortal Lee Sun-shin, East of Eden, One Branch Plum, Queen Seondeok, Rei - Eight Princes in Flower Budding, and films such as Praise of Death, First Love and The Defence Attorney, representing Korea's He made a name for himself as a leading mid-career actor in South Korea.

However, he fell in an instant in 2018 when he was named as a ‘MeToo’ perpetrator for sexually harassing students at Cheongju (Cheongju) University, where he was on assignment as an assistant professor.

Cho Min Ki then said, "It's late, but I'm letting go of everything. For the rest of my life, I will reflect on my mistakes and live with self-restraint" and apologised. He was then due to be summoned to the police on the 12th March, but died three days earlier, on the 9th March, and the case was closed without prosecution.

The late Cho Min Ki is said to have left many works as an exemplary actor, but spent his later years in disgrace and turmoil. It is unfortunate sad news, but it also reminds us again of the pain suffered by the victims at the time and leaves a bad aftertaste.
